When I don’t meet expectations – theirs or mine. when I feel like I’m not doing enough, but I’m becoming overwhelmed with all that I’m doing. when I feel as if I’m stepping into a foggy unknown. when I’m tired and confused and clueless what to do next …
when I feel like I’m not enough, it’s a relief to be reminded that that’s ok. this isn’t about me anyway.
“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” [emphasis mine] 1Tim 1:15-17, ESV
Through my all my weaknesses, mistakes and failures Christ and His glory can be displayed. Lift your eyes up from your problems to “the only God,” the “King of ages,” the Glorious One.
