stupidity

Real honest, at one point this year they were talking about blind faith {Heb 11:1,2} and I just thought “Stupidity. Why believe in something you can’t see? Why believe in a God I can’t see or touch or audibly here? Why should I follow this way of life when it doesn’t get me to where I want to go? Doing the same thing over and over again hoping to get different results is … stupidity.”

But as much as I wanted to I couldn’t ignore the obvious. God is real and He is pursuing me. And the real stupidity would be denying that.

And me here now wanting to fix and control and maybe becoming a little angry at God for not putting me in a place where I could help make things better … it’s really just another way of denying that God is real and He is pursuing His own. it’s another way of saying that God is not enough and I can figure out how to make up what’s lacking.

And that’s stupidity.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.”  1 Corinthians 3:19a, NLT

“Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!” Rom 11:33, NLT
